Loaders

Truck Loaders at PPG Paints Arena are members of the Teamsters Union. Loaders have a 5-hour minimum on both the load-in and the load-out. They are not paid according to the number of trucks but on an hourly wage based on a 5-hour minimum.

Rates (Rates are subject to change without notice)

Loaders per Hour: $21.86 per hour +23% administration fee.

  • 1.5X on Sundays, holidays, and between the hours of 12:00AM - 6:00AM only during load-in.
  • 1.5X shall be paid on the following holidays: Good Friday, New Year’s Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Memorial Day, Christmas Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.

General Regulations

This is a brief outline of our rates and conditions. Please speak with your event manager with specific questions.   

Load-In

  • All work between 12 AM – 8AM is billed at 2X Rate.
  • All work performed past 8 hours will be billed at 1.5X the prevailing rate.
  • Minimum for Riggers is 6 Hours.
  • Work performed prior to 6 AM is not included in minimum.
  • Stagehands are guaranteed until 4PM.
  • All work between 6AM and 8AM will only be guaranteed 8 hours.
  • All work started at 12PM or later is guaranteed 4 hours.
     

Show Calls

  • Minimum of 4 Deckhands needed for “An Evening With” performance.
  • Minimum of 6 Deckhands needed for shows requiring set changes.
  • Show Calls are for a 3.5 hour period. This included .5 hour for prep and 3 hours for the show.
  • Show Call begins at the advertised starting time.
  • Shows that extend past the 3.5-hour time frame will be billed at 1.5X the prevailing rate in 30-minute increments.

Load Out

  • - All work prior to 12AM will be billed at straight time.
  • - All work after 12AM will be billed at 1.5X the prevailing rate.
  • - All work after the 4-hour minimum will be billed in 30-minute increments.
  • - Both Riggers and Stagehands are on a 4-hour minimum.

Miscellaneous Conditions

  • Work performed on Sundays shall be billed at 1.5 X the prevailing rate.
  • All meal breaks must be given no later than 5 hours into the call.
  • If a meal is provided, a (1/2)-hour meal break will be given. (Included in work hours)
  • If no meal is provided, a (1) hour break must be given. (Not included in work hours)
  • 1.5X shall be paid on the following 8 holidays: Good Friday, New Year’s Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Memorial Day, Christmas Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
  • Minimum calls for Yellow Card shows shall be an eight (8) hour minimum call on the Load-in and a four (4) hour minimum call at the prevailing rates for the load out.
