The Verizon Gate

Verizon’s focus in Pittsburgh is in three different areas, Landline phones, Wireless service, and their newly introduced Fios TV.

The Verizon Entrance sits on Centre Avenue and is accessible from many of the PPG Paints Arena parking lots. The center piece of the entranceway is the Verizon Studios, which will broadcast the Pre-and Post-game radio shows on the Penguins Radio Network. Fans can sign up for contests, watch videos on the newest Fios Network, and even look at the hottest new phones in the market.

Behind the Verizon Studio is an enormous video map, which when activated during Penguins games, will show realtime the Twitter activity of anyone discussing a Penguins player or the team itself. It will track the location of the tweet and showcase the trends of the comments.

Highmark Gate

Highmark Inc. is among the ten largest health insurers in the United States and is the fourth-largest Blue Cross and Blue Shield-affiliated company.

The Highmark Gate is located next to the Epiphany Catholic Church on Centre Avenue and is the main entryway to PPG Paints Arena and home to the famous Mario Lemieux Statue. Using the Highmark Gate, you can also access the main PensGear Store as well as the DICK’S Sporting Goods Box Office. The Highmark Gate is accessible from many of the PPG Paints Arena parking lots and filters up in many directions to the FedEx and Giant Eagle Snapple Level.

Starting next season, the Highmark Gate will be home to Penguins pre-game show broadcast by AT&T Sports Net prior to the start of the games.
